Castaway Cay is very conveniently and easily accessed by cruise ship guests!
The cruise ship docks only a few hundred yards from one of the beaches on Castaway Cay. As soon as you get off the ship you are on this beautiful and private island so no customs, no walking through security and no need for showing an ID as you get off and board the ship. Your Disney’s “Key to the world” is all you need to get off the ship and on to the island.
And right off the ship, the Disney Magic is all around you with the possibility of taking pictures with characters and hopping on a tram for a short stroll to the beaches near by. Because the island is private, only guests from your ship are present on the island during your stay there. You can even get on and off the ship as much as you please during the day.

There are 3 beaches on Castaway Cay, 2 family beaches and 1 adults only beach. They are all beautiful with fine white sand and gorgeous blue waters and are equipped with nice beach chairs, umbrellas, hammocks, etc…all complementary. You can also reserve a cabana, and rent all kinds of fun toys such as tubes for floating in the water. Castaway Cay also offers snorkeling, kayaking, jet skiing, bike riding and more.
There is truly something for everyone to do on Castaway way. In the water, you will find 2 huge jungle gym type structures that provide hours of fun for the kids. So whether you are looking for a day of doing nothing in the sun or a fully day of adventures and fun, Castaway Cay will not disappoint.

When you get hungry, head on over to “Cookies” and “Cookies 2” for some amazing fresh grilled barbecue worthy of an authentic barbecue restaurant. Chicken, ribs, brisket, tilapia, it’s all delicious and comes with fresh salads, fruit and baked goods.
Not to mention the ice cream machine that flows all day long and helps you keep cool.
